RULES & REGULATIONS / TERMS AND CONDITIONS
General Information

The Great Ocean Dash 2025 is organised by Resolute Communications Pte. Ltd. and Orange Room Pte. Ltd. (referred herein as the "Organiser") in accordance with these Rules & Regulations that is applicable to the Participants, which can be found at www.thegreatoceandash.com ("Official Website”).

Completion of the online entry form confirms the Participants' agreement to abide by the relevant Rules & Regulations of The Great Ocean Dash 2025. These Rules & Regulations apply at the material time and to all and any ruling of the Event Organisers

The Participant agrees to: (i) provide true, accurate, current and complete information about the Participant contained in the registration form (the "Registration Data"); and (ii) maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to keep it true, accurate, current and complete.

Participants may be contacted from time to time by email. Any notice sent to the email address registered with the Event Organiser shall be deemed as received by the Participant.

The Organiser reserves the right to suspend and refuse Participants providing information that is untrue, inaccurate, dated or incomplete.

Any disputes arising from participation in The Great Ocean Dash 2025 shall be referred to Arbitration under Singapore law. The appeal must be made in writing to the organiser within (30) thirty minutes of the release of the official results along with a deposit of SGD 50.

The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other records of the Event for any legitimate purposes, including commercial advertising.

Collected personal data may be shared with Paramount Limited, its affiliates and subsidiaries, and/or with other third parties for administrative and business purposes, or for cross-promotion. This may involve the storage, use, disclosure or other processing, or transfer of participant's personal data out of Singapore.

The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Rules and Regulations without giving prior notification or any reasons thereof.


Registration

The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or postpone The Great Ocean Dash 2025 at any time without prior notice to the Participant, in which case they will make an effort to inform the Participant prior to the date of the event. If The Great Ocean Dash 2025 has to be cancelled or postponed, there shall be no refund of registration fees paid and the Organiser shall not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused.

The Organiser reserves the right to set the fees for the different categories as expedient to its intents and purposes.

Once the registration form has been duly processed, there will be no refund of registration fees for those participants who eventually do not take part in The Great Ocean Dash 2025, for whatever reason.

A participant with a valid promotion code is required to enter the promotion code during online registration in order to enjoy the discount. No refunds or cash equivalents will be given for any unused promotion codes.

No exchange of tee sizes and/or category allowed.

Participants are strictly not allowed to transfer their race entries to another party or change race categories after their registrations are confirmed.

The Organiser reserves the right to limit and refuse entries to prohibited areas without assigning any reasons thereof.

The Organiser shall not be held responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete entry details.

Participants below 18 years of age need to seek parental or guardian consent before participating in the event.

The resale of race slot(s) at the same or any price in excess of the initial purchase price is prohibited. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel any registration that have been resold and to deny any such race slot entry.


Race

Participants below the age of 18 must seek parental or guardian consent in order to participate in the run. By filling and submitting the registration form, under aged participants are deemed to have received valid content from parents/guardians. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse participant entry if the terms are not met.

Registrations will not be accepted after the official closing date which will be stated and announced on all The Great Ocean Dash 2025 official channels.

Runners participating in the 3KM Dash that are ages 4 years to 12 years old, MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

The 5KM Dash (13yrs & above) are non-competitive categories.

The Organiser shall not be held liable for any damages to/on the Race Bib and the Timing Device. The Organiser also reserves the right to charge the participants for a replacement bib and/or deny entry to a runner with a damaged Racing Bib and/or Timing Device.

Competitive runners are required to pass through the Gantries set up at various points along the associated routes to ensure that their timings are recorded. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.

Participants not wearing a bib will be taken off the course/route by the Officials and/or Marshals, and may result in disqualification.

The runner's particulars and timings will be recorded electronically. Runners who fail to bring or produce their Race Bib on the event day will not be allowed to participate and/or finish.

The Organiser will not refund runners who forget to bring their race bib on Race Day and will be charged a $20 bib replacement fee to enter the start area.

All participants must only wear their assigned Race Bib. Any and all exchanges and/or transfer of a Race Bib is strictly not allowed.

Participant's failure to observe the Rules and Regulations may result in immediate disqualification.

The Organiser reserves the right to amend The Great Ocean Dash 2025 routes as they deem fit for the safety of the Participants and/or to prevent any potential hazards in the running of the event, at any time without prior notice to the Participant. Every effort will be made to inform the Participant prior to the date of the event. The Organiser shall not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused due to such changes.

Participants must wear their assigned number bib on his/her chest at all times during the race. Participants without the allocated bib number will not be allowed to take part in the race.

The Organiser reserves the right to delay the commencement of the run in the event of inclement weather. Should the inclement weather persist after the delay, the Organiser reserves the right to cancel the race without refund of registration fees.

Participants who do not start within 30 minutes from their respective flag off point will be disqualified and for safety reasons, are not allowed to start.

Participants that commence before the actual start time of the race category for which they registered for will be disqualified. The start time for the respective race categories can be found on the Official Website.

The Organiser will not be held responsible for any loss and/or damage, personal or otherwise, to the belongings and items deposited. The Organiser also reserves the right to check any item or baggage deposited.


Safety and Medical Advisory

Whilst reasonable precautions will be taken by the to ensure the safety of participants, participants take part at their own risks and the Organiser, their sponsors and their appointed officials shall not be liable for any death or injury, loss or damage, suffered or otherwise, and howsoever arising.

Should any Participant feel unwell in the course of the Race, he/she should stop and seek immediate medical attention from Race/Event Officials, Marshals or make way to the designated medical posts.

Participants should prepare themselves adequately and gradually increase the duration and intensity of their training over several weeks prior to the event. Participants should ensure that they are well-rested and well-hydrated prior to the run.

Participants are advised not to attend the event should they have any illness of any kind.

The Organiser reserves the right to remove any participant deemed physically incapable of continuing with the run to prevent him/her from causing greater harm and injury to himself/herself.

Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/or consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual race day.

For the safety of participants, participants are advised to run on the designated route and observe traffic regulations.

By registering/entering, participants are considered to take part at their own risks and the Organiser shall not be liable for any/all injuries or death, damages or any losses, whether it being personal or otherwise, prior, during and after participation in the Event.


I HEREBY AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF MY PARTICIPATION IN
THE GREAT OCEAN DASH 2025

1. I acknowledge and agree that:

(a) My participation in the Event is entirely voluntary on my own part;

(b) I shall receive no payment for my participation in the Event; and

(c) The event organisers have the right to cancel, postpone, change the date or change venue and time within 1 month of the date without compensation to registration fees or associated cost with terms and conditions due to unforeseen circumstances, political unrest, inclement weather or Acts of God.

2. I have read, understood and accepted the Rules and Regulations applicable to the Event.

3. I have been made fully aware of, and fully understand and acknowledge the risks involved in my participation in the Event. I accept full responsibility and assume all such risks.

4. I hereby represent, warrant and undertake to Organiser (Resolute Communications Pte Ltd / Orange Room Pte. Ltd.) the following with full knowledge that they shall be relied upon in accepting my participation:-

(a) My personal particulars disclosed herein are correct;

(b) I have no medical condition that would affect my safety and physical well being arising from my participation in this Event and that I am medically and physically fit and competent to participate in the Event; and

(c) I shall dutifully and fully abide by the Rules and Regulations of this event and any applicable laws.

5. I confirm that the representations, warranties and undertakings above are true and correct and I (and my heirs, successors and assignees) shall waive, release, discharge you from any claim and undertake that I (and my heirs, successors and assignees) shall not make any claim or complaint whatsoever against Organiser (Resolute Communications Pte Ltd / Orange Room Pte. Ltd.) for any loss or damage or injury sustained by me, or for my death arising from or during the Event.

6. Further, I (my heirs, successors and assignees) shall indemnify and hold Organiser (Resolute Communications Pte Ltd / Orange Room Pte. Ltd.) harmless from any claim, demand, proceeding, cost, expense, liability, loss or damage (whether direct or consequential) made by any third parties, arising from any injury or death or damage or loss to any property arising out of my breach of the representations, warranties and undertakings under Clause 5 herein. Provided always that Organiser (Resolute Communications Pte Ltd / Orange Room Pte. Ltd.) shall be entitled in your sole and absolute discretion to disqualify me from the Event if I breach any of the representations, warranties and undertakings herein any way whatsoever.

7. I declare to the best of my knowledge that I do not suffer from any of the following pre-existing medical conditions:

(a) any cardiac or respiratory weakness or ailment;

(b) epilepsy or any other neurological condition;

(c) any orthopaedic or rheumatological complaint: or

(d) any other complaint or condition which would involve a serious risk to any physical or mental health by my participation in the Event.

8. For the avoidance of doubt, in consideration of you accepting my entry into the Event, I hereby confirm my agreement to waive any claim (to the extent permitted under the laws of Singapore) which I (any of my heirs, successors and assignees) may otherwise be entitled to bring against Organiser (Resolute Communications Pte Ltd / Orange Room Pte. Ltd.) or your agents, employees, sponsors or contractors arising in any way out of my participation in the Event, including without limitation, any of the following:

(a) any injury, illness or death caused by or associated with my participation in the Event;

(b) any fainting or other physical or nervous reaction to alarm, shock or fright suffered during the Event, whether such reaction manifests itself either during or at any time after the Event; or

(c) the need for hospitalization or any form of paramedic or out-patient care which may arise from (a) or (b) above.

9. I accept that all the judges' decisions with regards to the Event are final.

10. No person who is not a party to this Waiver shall have any right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act, Chapter 53B of Singapore, to enforce any of the terms herein.

PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION ACT (2012)

From 2nd July 2014, the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) will introduce certain changes to the way in which we may contact you for promotional and marketing messages. These changes will generally not affect informational and service-related messages sent by us (such as event updates and confirmation about events). We aim to conduct our business in compliance with the requirements of the PDPA and respect your choices. Your information is collected for us to understand your needs better so that we can improve our services and also the way we communicate with you.

HOW IS PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED

Organiser and Orange Room Pte. Ltd. may collect your personal information when you:

(a) Register for any events organised by Organiser (Resolute Communications Pte Ltd / Orange Room Pte. Ltd.)

(b) Subscribe to our e-newsletters

(c) Contact us with an event or merchandise enquiry

(d) Participate in our contests, surveys, lucky draws and/or other promotional activities

(e) Visit our website

(f) Use of personal data

Organiser (Resolute Communications Pte Ltd / Orange Room Pte. Ltd.) may use your information for the following:

(a) Process your online registration application

(b) Respond to enquiries and requests from you or people you have authorised

(c) Inform you about events updates or partners promotions

(d) Conduct market research and customer satisfaction surveys

(e) Provide updates, offers, invitations to events and deliver advertising messages via SMS / MMS, Email or your mailing address with your prior consent or if otherwise permitted under local laws and regulations

(f) Emergency situations arising from incidents/accidents occurring during participation of any Organiser (Resolute Communications Pte Ltd / Orange Room Pte. Ltd.).

PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

Organiser (Resolute Communications Pte Ltd / Orange Room Pte. Ltd.) has implemented stringent measures to secure and protect your information. These include:

(a) Safeguards to prevent security breaches in our network and database systems

(b) Limits on access to information in our systems and the systems of our business partners and vendors

(c) Strict verification processes to prevent unauthorised access to information
